Richard Owen plays only a tiny role in the story of Ynysymaengwyn, but as I have been unable to find a portrait of anyone else who inherited the estate, he provides a useful impression of the sort of fashion of the time. He and his brother Corbet were both in line to inherit the estate, but both died so their younger sister Anne eventually inherited.
