Video: The marvelous Dolgoch Falls

The stunning Dolgoch Falls are a short drive from Aberdovey or Tywyn, with a pay-and-display car park at Dolgoch (and a café for the weary) and there’s also a bus from Tywyn, but the best way of visiting the glorious falls is by the scenic route offered by the Talyllyn Railway steam train, which leaves from Tywyn and has a big car-park.  I’ve written up a walk up the Falls previously, here, with plenty of photos. but this is a video of the falls themselves.  This is one of the best walks in the area, and so beautifully managed and maintained.  If you don’t want to walk far, there’s a flat pathway along the rapids beyond the car par, which are stunning. and the path reaches the falls themselves as they cascade down, so you will see some stunning sights just a minute or two from the station or car park.  If you want to walk upwards and do a great waterfall hike, everything is well signposted and offers a good work-out!
